Children's Ministry

Join us in Children's Ministry!

We are committed to do more than provide childcare. We strive to minister to each and every child. Our goal is that at every age and stage of a child’s life, we are creating opportunities for them to experience God’s love.

Our Children’s Ministry is during service after our 10 a.m. worship set. From toddlerhood to adolescence, our ministry teaches the Bible at age-appropriate levels.

Hope to see you this Sunday!

Toddler-2&3 year old

The Toddler group is available every week after Sunday Worship.

Toddlers learn through play, so we spend our time playing, listening to Christian music, and reading stories.

We have an area in our children’s hall where toddler’s can play with all different types of toys.  They can play alone or together with either the teacher or other toddlers in the class.

Toddlers will receive a snack and a drink at some point during their time in Children’s Ministry before they are handed off to their parents/guardians at the completion of Sunday Service.

Kindergarten-3rd Grade

Children in Kindergarten-3rd grade meet every week after Sunday Worship.

The Curriculums that are used are Heart Shapers and Faith Weavers.  These children will be taught lessons about stories in the Bible.  Throughout these lesson there are hands-on activities, worksheets, games, songs, and video clips that go along with the message of the lesson for that week.

Children will receive a snack and a drink at some point during their time in Children’s Ministry before they are handed off to their parents/guardians at the completion of Sunday Service.

4th-6th Grade

The program used to teach these students is called Gospel Lighthouse.  In this curriculum, children are reached right where they are at through the use of fun activities that reinforce the Bible concepts.  Gospel Lighthouse will help children learn about God and His Word through hands-on activities.

Safety Is Our Priority

Your child’s safety is important to us at the Fair Havens Church. Our teachers and assistants must complete multiple levels of safety measures, including background checks and training, in order to serve on our Children’s Ministry team.

We have designated hall monitors specifically assigned to the Children’s Ministry. They are required to check who goes in and out of the Children’s Ministry, along with making sure the doors are locked.

Parent/guardians are required to sign their children in and out and will receive two tickets; one ticket is placed on their child and the other is held onto in order to pick up their child after Sunday Service.

We also have a pager system that can conveniently notify parents when they are needed to assist their child. Each child receives a number that can be displayed in our sanctuary when they are needed.
