About Patricia

My name is Patricia MacKinnon and it is my privilege to lead as the Senior Pastor of The Fair Havens Church. For many years I knew something was missing in my life, but that all changed when I accepted the Lord as my Savior in 1977, right on the floor in my family room. My husband, David MacKinnon, and I founded the church back in 1981, and it all began in the corner of our basement.  We have never despised the day of small beginnings, for we know that the Lord rejoices to see the work begin. (Zechariah 4:10). Ever since then, it has been my personal mission to spread God’s love and tell others about the purpose He has for their lives! 

I was born and raised in Scotland, then we immigrated to America in 1967.  Pastor Dave and I have two beautiful daughters that we cherish dearly: Christine and Patty.  They in turn have blessed us with three grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren! In the ministry’s earlier days, I loved to travel the world with Pastor Dave; we have been to 14 other countries together, including: Canada, The British Isles, Scotland, England, Ireland, Israel, Egypt, Jordan, Turkey, Holland, Russia, Nigeria, Italy, and Haiti.  I’ve always been grateful for the wonderful opportunities to travel the world, but for me, nothing compares to sitting at a beach with the sun, the waves, and alone time with Jesus.  After nearly 46 years of marriage, my beloved husband went to his great heavenly reward in March of 2008.  It is my honor to continue his legacy, and make both Pastor Dave and my Father God proud.
